Last night's fun

Well, we got a few people down to the Rose and Crown last night. Not as many as last month. But I put that down to the weather and lack of forum.

Nonetheless there was some enjoyable company, plenty of interesting debate and it once again sparked off a few ideas.

Also one of the most enjoyable parts of the evening, for me, was spotting this quote on the wall of the pub...
If you resolve to give up smoking, drinking and loving you don't actually live longer it just seems longer.

Observer 1964

Fine words -- the Rose and Crown in Southwark really is one of the best pubs around. And we hope to see you there next month.

One of the best pubs around? Are you pushing the meet-ups now or the breweries? ;D

Still hoping for a weekend meetup. I (and I'm sure others) can't get into London on a weeknight.

How about it??

You could come to this:

...or join the fray afterwards. No specific pub chosen as yet, but there are a decent number attending, you'd struggle to miss us.

Yes we will be organising a pub for that as I and a few offers can't afford the actual event.

If the forum is up this weekend hopefully we'll be able to organise something.

I am thinking of joining the party (I was at its launch meeting in Westminster) so hope to get to the pub meet next month

It was good to put some faces to names (well, internet nom de plumes at any rate)

A weekend meeting would probably help the numbers attending.
